Künstlerhaus Festsaal holds a significant place in Nuremberg’s cultural landscape. Originally constructed in 1896-1897 as part of the Künstlerhaus (Artists' House), it was designed by architect Hans Erlwein in the Neo-Renaissance style. The hall served various purposes throughout its history including exhibitions and initially as a space for artistic presentations alongside studio spaces for artists. Following extensive damage during World War II, it underwent reconstruction and reopened as a primary concert venue in 1965.
