Punch Brothers will perform at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on January 15, 2027. The band is recognized for their innovative approach to bluegrass and acoustic music, often incorporating elements of progressive rock, jazz, and classical composition into their arrangements. Formed in 2006, Punch Brothers features Chris Thile on mandolin and vocals, alongside Gabe Witcher on fiddle, Bryan Ledbetter on banjo, Noam Pikelny on guitar, and Paul Kowert on bass. They are known for intricate instrumental work, complex harmonies, and lyrical depth.
Glasgow Royal Concert Hall opened in 1990 and is a prominent performance venue in Scotland. Designed by architects RMJM, it is renowned for its acoustics and hosts a diverse range of musical performances including classical concerts, orchestral performances, contemporary music acts and traditional Scottish music events. The hall’s main auditorium, the New Auditorium, has a capacity of approximately 2,445 seats. It is also home to the Glasgow International Jazz Festival’s main stage annually. The building incorporates Scottish materials such as granite and timber throughout its construction and serves as a significant cultural landmark within the city centre.
