Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana (OSI) will perform at Lugano Arte e Cultura on May 16, 2027. The OSI is recognized for its versatile repertoire encompassing classical and romantic works, alongside a commitment to contemporary compositions and opera performances. The orchestra regularly collaborates with internationally renowned soloists and conductors, and maintains a strong presence in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland as well as internationally.

Lugano Arte e Cultura is a municipal organization responsible for the management of several cultural venues and the promotion of cultural activities within the city of Lugano. It oversees spaces including the LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, a modern multi-disciplinary arts centre opened in 2017, designed by architects Mario Botta and Engin Acarsoy. This building houses a concert hall, theatre, art exhibition spaces and a museum dedicated to local history. Prior to the LAC's construction, cultural events were held across various locations in Lugano; the LAC aimed to consolidate these offerings into a central hub. The organization focuses on providing diverse programming spanning music, theatre, dance, visual arts and literature, aiming to enhance cultural accessibility for both residents and visitors.
