Kammerorchester Basel, founded in 1995, is a Swiss chamber orchestra renowned for its historically informed performance practice and stylistic flexibility. While rooted in Baroque and Classical repertoire, the orchestra frequently extends its programming to encompass 20th and 21st-century compositions, often commissioning new works. A defining characteristic is their commitment to exploring music beyond established canons, frequently engaging with lesser-known composers and innovative interpretations. The ensemble performs without a dedicated concertmaster, fostering a collaborative and democratic musical approach.
Palazzo Dei Congressi: Congress Hall in Stresa, Italy, opened in 1974 and quickly became a significant venue for international conferences and events on Lake Maggiore. Designed by architect Angelo Masperi, the hall is notable for its modernist architectural style and large capacity – accommodating over 1,800 people. Initially conceived to boost tourism and provide a modern facility for large gatherings, it has hosted numerous political summits, business conventions, and cultural performances. The hall underwent significant renovations in the early 2000s to update its technical capabilities and improve accessibility while preserving its original design features. It remains a key landmark within Stresa’s event infrastructure.
