Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana (OSI) will perform at Lugano Arte e Cultura on May 15, 2027. The orchestra is recognized for its versatile repertoire, encompassing classical and romantic works alongside 20th and 21st-century compositions, with a particular focus on Italian composers and opera. OSI regularly collaborates with internationally renowned soloists and conductors.

Lugano Arte e Cultura (LAC) is a cultural center inaugurated in 2017, designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta. It functions as a multidisciplinary space hosting theatre, dance, concerts, exhibitions, and conferences. The building itself is notable for its architectural integration of existing historical structures – specifically the former city hall and the church of Santa Maria degli Angioli – with modern design elements. LAC aims to be a central hub for artistic expression and cultural exchange within the Ticino region and beyond.

The complex includes a concert hall with a capacity of approximately 900 seats, an exhibition hall, rehearsal spaces, and a café/restaurant. LAC’s programming reflects a commitment to both established artistic forms and innovative contemporary work.
