Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana (OSI) will perform at Lugano Arte e Cultura on December 31, 2026. The OSI is recognized for its versatile repertoire, encompassing works from the classical and romantic periods alongside 20th and 21st-century compositions. The orchestra frequently collaborates with internationally renowned soloists and is noted for its commitment to both traditional orchestral performance and innovative musical explorations, often commissioning new works.

Lugano Arte e Cultura (LAC) is a cultural center inaugurated in 2017, designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta. It functions as a multidisciplinary space hosting theatre, dance, concerts, exhibitions, and conferences. The LAC building itself is a significant architectural landmark in Lugano, integrating modern design with the city’s urban fabric. It replaced the former Teatro Sociale as Lugano’s primary performing arts venue and aims to promote a diverse range of artistic expression. Prior to the LAC's opening, orchestral performances in Lugano were held in various locations including the Teatro Sociale and Villa Heleneum. The LAC’s concert hall is specifically designed to provide excellent acoustics for orchestral music.
