Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana (OSI) will perform at Lugano Arte e Cultura on October 15, 2026. The orchestra is recognized for its versatile repertoire spanning from the classical and romantic periods through to contemporary compositions, with a particular focus on Italian and Swiss composers. OSI regularly commissions new works and actively promotes musical education within the Ticino region.

Lugano Arte e Cultura is the city of Lugano’s cultural organization, responsible for managing several key venues and coordinating a diverse program of events encompassing music, theatre, dance, visual arts, and literature. It operates within the LAC (Lugano Arte e Cultura) building, a modern multi-disciplinary arts centre inaugurated in 2017. The LAC building itself is architecturally significant, designed by Swiss architects Mario Botta and Franco Stella; it integrates into the urban fabric of Lugano while providing state-of-the-art facilities for artistic presentation. Prior to the opening of LAC, cultural events were held across various locations in Lugano; LAC consolidated these offerings into a single hub.
