Olivier Latry will perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London on July 26, 2026. Latry is internationally recognized as a virtuoso organist, currently titular organist of Notre-Dame de Paris. His musical style is deeply rooted in the French symphonic tradition, characterized by a powerful and colourful sound palette, intricate registration, and a dramatic flair often incorporating improvisation. He frequently performs works by composers such as Messiaen, Widor, and Dupré, alongside his own compositions and transcriptions.
The Royal Albert Hall opened in 1871 and was originally named in memory of Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria. Designed by Captain Francis Fowke and Henry Scott Stokes, it’s a Grade I listed building renowned for its distinctive circular architecture and exceptional acoustics. The hall’s organ, built by Henry Willis, is one of the largest in the world – possessing 9,999 pipes – and has undergone several significant restorations over its history. It has hosted a vast array of performances including classical concerts, opera, ballet, rock and pop music events, and sporting competitions.
