Olivier Latry is a renowned French organist, improviser, and composer, widely regarded as one of the leading figures in contemporary organ music. Born in 1962 in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France, Latry rose to prominence through his exceptional skill and innovative approach to the instrument. He studied at the Paris Conservatory under legendary teachers such as Michel Chapuis and Pierre Cochereau, eventually succeeding Cochereau as one of the titular organists at the prestigious Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris in 1985—a position he still holds.

Latry’s career is marked by his virtuosic technique and profound musicality, blending classical traditions with modern sensibilities. He is celebrated for his masterful improvisations during liturgical services and concerts worldwide.
