NOHMI will be performing a concert at the Walloon Church in Amsterdam on June 5th, 2026. The Walloon Church (Walloonsche Kerk), located on Begijnhof 309 in Amsterdam, holds significant historical importance. Originally established in the early 17th century by French-speaking Protestants – known as Walloons – fleeing religious persecution in the Southern Netherlands (modern-day Belgium), it served as a place of worship for this community. The current building dates primarily from 1649, though it incorporates elements from earlier structures. Throughout its history, the church has maintained its connection to the Walloon tradition while also becoming a cultural venue hosting concerts and other events. Its intimate setting and distinctive acoustics make it a favoured location for performances emphasizing atmosphere and nuance.
