New Cool Collective will perform at The Cacaofabriek in Helmond, Netherlands on December 18, 2026. The band is a Dutch ensemble known for their distinctive blend of jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop influences, often described as “nu-jazz.” Formed in the early 1990s, they gained prominence for reinterpreting classic jazz standards with a contemporary, groove-oriented approach and have released numerous albums receiving critical acclaim within the European jazz scene. Their performances typically feature improvisation alongside tightly arranged compositions.

The Cacaofabriek (Chocolate Factory) is a cultural center housed within a former chocolate factory dating back to 1913. Originally established by chocolatier Lambert van de Ven, the building served as a production facility for Verkade chocolate until 1966. In the late 1980s it was repurposed as a venue for concerts, exhibitions, theatre productions and other cultural events. The building retains many of its original industrial features contributing to its unique atmosphere and has become a significant landmark in Helmond’s cultural landscape. It currently operates as a multi-disciplinary arts space hosting a diverse range of programming throughout the year.
