New Cool Collective is a Dutch band known for their distinctive blend of jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop influences. Formed in 1990, the group has developed a reputation for energetic live performances and a sound characterized by tight arrangements, improvisation, and a focus on groove. Their instrumentation typically includes saxophone, trumpet, trombone, rhythm section (drums, bass, guitar), and often vocals or MCs. De Vorstin is a renowned concert venue located in Hilversum, Netherlands. Originally built as a cinema in 1928 – initially named Cinema Royal – it underwent significant renovations and reopened as a music venue in 1986. The building retains much of its original Art Deco architectural style, contributing to its intimate and atmospheric setting. It’s known for hosting a diverse range of musical acts across genres including jazz, pop, rock and world music. The venue's capacity is approximately 750 standing or 450 seated attendees. De Vorstin regularly features both established artists and emerging talent within the Dutch music scene and beyond.
