The Majestic Ventura Theater, located in Ventura, California, is a historic venue originally constructed in 1927 as a Vaudeville house. Throughout its history it operated primarily as a movie palace, showcasing films until the late 1980s. Following a period of disuse, the theater underwent significant restoration efforts beginning in 2010. Reopened in 2014, The Majestic now functions as a multi-purpose performance space hosting concerts, live theater productions, comedy shows and other events. The venue retains much of its original architectural detail including ornate plasterwork and a classic proscenium arch stage, creating an intimate atmosphere for performances with a capacity of approximately 1,000 attendees.
