Molchat Doma, a Belarusian post-punk band formed in Minsk in 2017, will perform at Treefort Music Hall in Boise, Idaho on September 7, 2026. The band’s music is characterized by its minimalist instrumentation, prominent basslines, and vocalist Kirill Belonozhko’s detached, spoken-word delivery—often sung in Russian. Their sound draws heavily from 1980s post-punk and cold wave aesthetics, evoking bands like Joy Division and The Cure. Molchat Doma gained international recognition following the viral success of their song “Sudno (Boris Ryzhy)” in 2020.
Treefort Music Hall is a relatively new venue within the larger Treefort Music Fest infrastructure. Opened in late 2023, it represents a permanent indoor performance space for the annual festival and independent concerts throughout the year. Located in downtown Boise, the hall was constructed as part of a broader redevelopment project aiming to revitalize the city's cultural scene. It's designed to host both local and touring acts across various genres, offering a capacity of approximately 800 attendees.
