WITCH will be performing at the Shrine Social Club in Boise, Idaho on September 2nd, 2026. WITCH, an acronym for We Intend To Create Havoc, is a Zambian rock band originally formed in Lusaka in 1972. Their music blends elements of psychedelic rock, funk, and Zambian folk music, often referred to as “Zam-rock.” The band gained regional popularity in the 1970s with releases like *Introduction* and *Incredible*. After a period of inactivity following the departure of key members and political challenges in Zambia, WITCH experienced a resurgence in interest in the 21st century, leading to reissues of their albums and international touring.

The Shrine Social Club is a Boise venue known for hosting a variety of musical performances, particularly those leaning towards independent and alternative genres. Originally established as a fraternal organization meeting hall – part of the Shriners International – the building has been repurposed as a performance space while retaining some of its original architectural features and aesthetic. It’s characterized by an intimate setting and regularly features both local and touring acts. The venue’s capacity is approximately 300 people.
