Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris, often referred to simply as Teatro Esperanza Iris, is a significant cultural venue located in the historic center of Mexico City. Originally inaugurated in 1976, it was built on the site previously occupied by the Teatro Iris, which was destroyed by a fire. The theatre is administered by the Government of Mexico City through the Secretaría de Cultura and is dedicated to presenting a diverse program of performing arts including theatre, dance, music and other artistic disciplines.
