Melbourne Ska Orchestra will be performing at the Northcote Theatre in Northcote, Australia on October 2nd, 2026. The Northcote Theatre originally opened as a cinema in 1925, designed by architect Cedric Ballantyne. Throughout its history it has operated under various names including the Rex and the Minerva. It transitioned from a primarily film-focused venue to hosting live music and performing arts alongside screenings in the late 20th century. The theatre underwent significant renovations in 2018-2019 to improve accessibility and enhance its capabilities as a live performance space while retaining much of its art deco architectural features. It currently functions as a multi-arts venue presenting film, live music, theatre and comedy.
