Ruigoord is a former psychiatric hospital complex located on an island in the Amsterdamse Bos (Amsterdam Forest). Originally established in 1962, it operated as a self-sufficient community based on anthroposophy, aiming to provide a therapeutic environment through work and artistic expression. Following its closure as a hospital in 1995, Ruigoord transitioned into an independent cultural village and event space.
