Cankarjev dom (Cankar Hall) is Ljubljana’s largest cultural and congress centre, and a significant landmark in the city. Opened in 1900, it was designed by architect Ivan Vurnik and initially named the Ivan Cankar Hall in honour of the prominent Slovenian writer Ivan Cankar. The building underwent substantial renovation and expansion between 2001-2004, modernizing its facilities while preserving its architectural heritage. It hosts a wide range of events including concerts, theatre productions, ballet performances, conferences and exhibitions. The main hall, the Šuštarski trg Hall where Argerich will perform, boasts excellent acoustics and a capacity of over 1300 seats.
