Daniil Trifonov is scheduled to perform at Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, Slovenia on February 25, 2027. He is widely regarded as one of the leading pianists of his generation, known for his intensely expressive and technically brilliant performances. Trifonov’s repertoire is broad, encompassing works from the Baroque period to contemporary compositions, but he frequently performs Romantic-era masterpieces alongside those of composers like Prokofiev and Rachmaninoff. His playing is often characterized by a remarkable clarity of articulation combined with a profound emotional depth and a distinctive, often dramatic, use of dynamics.

Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana’s largest cultural and congress centre, holds significant cultural importance for Slovenia. Opened in 1983, it was constructed on the site of the former Ljubljana Savings Bank building – partially preserved within the new structure – and named after the prominent Slovenian writer Ivan Cankar. The venue hosts a diverse range of events including concerts, theatre performances, ballet, opera, congresses and exhibitions. Its main hall, the Gallus Hall where Trifonov will perform, is known for its excellent acoustics and capacity for over 2300 attendees.
