Marc Ribot, a highly regarded American guitarist and composer, will perform at A38 in Budapest, Hungary on June 30, 2026. Ribot’s musical style is exceptionally diverse, drawing from jazz, rock, Cuban music, avant-garde improvisation and film scoring. He is known for his distinctive angular playing, textural explorations and ability to seamlessly navigate a wide range of genres. Throughout his career he has collaborated with artists including Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, John Zorn and Robert Plant.

A38 is a prominent concert venue in Budapest located on the Buda side of the Danube River, housed within the hull of a repurposed stone carrier ship. Originally built in 1965 as a Danube cargo vessel, it was transformed into a cultural space in 1998 after being rescued from decommissioning. The venue quickly became central to Budapest’s alternative music scene and has hosted numerous internationally recognized artists across various genres – rock, pop, electronic and world music. A38 maintains a unique atmosphere stemming from its unconventional architecture and riverside location. It's known for its intimate setting despite its capacity and commitment to showcasing both established and emerging talent.
