Harmoniesäle Bamberg is a historically significant concert hall located within the former St. Jakob’s Hospital complex. Originally constructed in the late 19th century as a hospital church designed by architect Johann Baptist Schott, it underwent extensive renovation in the 1980s to transform it into a dedicated concert venue. The hall is known for its excellent acoustics stemming from its vaulted ceiling and carefully considered architectural design. It's become an important center for chamber music and orchestral performances within Bamberg, hosting both local ensembles and visiting artists. The building itself reflects a blend of neo-Gothic and historicizing architectural styles characteristic of the period. It currently has a capacity of approximately 450 seats.
