Lido Pimienta will perform at Le Botanique in Brussels, Belgium on November 8, 2026. Pimienta is a Colombian-Canadian musician whose work blends traditional Afro-Colombian rhythms, electronic music, and political lyricism. Her sound frequently incorporates elements of cumbia, bullerengue, and guacharaca alongside synthesizers and experimental production techniques. Lyrically, she often addresses themes of colonialism, feminism, and the experiences of marginalized communities. She gained significant recognition following her 2017 Polaris Music Prize nomination for her album *Motion*.

Le Botanique operates as a multidisciplinary cultural center housed within the former botanical garden of Brussels. Originally established in 1873, the site served as a research and educational facility focused on botany before being repurposed in the late 20th century. Today, it features concert halls, exhibition spaces, and a cinema. The complex is known for its unique architectural integration of glasshouses and modern structures. It regularly hosts a diverse program encompassing contemporary music performances – including world music – visual arts exhibitions and film screenings; functioning as a key venue within Brussels’ cultural landscape.
