Hayden Thorpe, formerly of the British art-pop band Wild Beasts, will perform at Le Botanique in Brussels on February 26, 2027. Thorpe’s solo work diverges from Wild Beasts’ guitar-driven sound, focusing on electronically textured arrangements and a distinctive falsetto vocal style. His music often explores themes of intimacy, vulnerability and modern relationships, incorporating elements of ambient, folk and experimental electronic music. He frequently utilizes layered vocals and atmospheric soundscapes.

Le Botanique is a cultural complex housed within the former botanical garden of Brussels. Originally established in 1826, the garden served as a research institution and public display space for plant life. The site underwent significant renovation in the late 20th century, transforming into a multidisciplinary arts centre in 2000.

Today, Le Botanique comprises several performance spaces including the Orangerie – a glasshouse structure – and the Rotonde, alongside exhibition areas and a café. It hosts a diverse programme encompassing contemporary music (spanning indie, electronic & world music), theatre, dance, film screenings and visual arts exhibitions.
