Kronos Quartet will perform at Koerner Hall in Toronto, Canada on March 6, 2027. The ensemble is renowned for its groundbreaking approach to string quartet performance, actively commissioning and performing works that span a diverse range of genres. Their repertoire extends far beyond the traditional classical canon, encompassing contemporary classical music, jazz, rock, pop, folk, and music from cultures around the globe. Founded in 1973, Kronos Quartet has collaborated with numerous artists across disciplines and is celebrated for its adventurous spirit and commitment to expanding the possibilities of the string quartet.

Koerner Hall, located within the Royal Conservatory of Music’s TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning, is considered one of Canada’s finest concert venues. Opened in 2009, it was designed by Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blain Architects with acoustics as a primary consideration. The hall’s distinctive curved wood design contributes significantly to its exceptional sound quality. It is known for its intimate setting – seating approximately 1,134 people – and its versatility accommodating a wide variety of musical performances including orchestral concerts, chamber music recitals, and solo performances.
