Joep Beving is a Dutch composer and pianist known for his emotionally resonant, neo-classical compositions. The Great Hall, located in Toronto, Canada, has a rich history as a performance and community space. Originally built in 1893 as a Masonic Temple, it underwent several transformations before becoming a dedicated performance venue. Throughout the 20th century it served as a hub for political rallies, dances, and theatrical productions. In more recent decades it’s become recognized for hosting diverse musical acts spanning genres like indie rock, folk, jazz and classical music. The building retains many of its original architectural features including ornate detailing and high ceilings contributing to its unique atmosphere. It's capacity is approximately 850 people standing or 500 seated.
