Julian Prégardien will perform at Haus für Mozart in Salzburg, Austria on August 3, 2026. Prégardien is a highly regarded German tenor, known for his interpretations of Lieder – German art song – and oratorio repertoire. His style is frequently described as possessing clarity, expressive nuance, and a sensitive attention to text setting, often drawing comparisons to his father, the renowned tenor Peter Prégardien. He performs frequently with leading orchestras and ensembles internationally and is particularly celebrated for his performances of works by Schubert, Schumann, and Bach.
Haus für Mozart is a concert hall dedicated to the life and work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Located in Salzburg’s Makartplatz, it occupies the former residence of Mozart’s family from 1773-1787 – the longest period the family lived in one place. Originally known as the Tanzmeisterhaus (Dance Master’s House), it was here that Mozart composed *The Marriage of Figaro* and *Don Giovanni*. The building underwent extensive renovations in the 1990s to create a modern concert space while preserving its historical character.
