Experience Juan Carlos Lomónaco live on December 30th

Juan Carlos Lomónaco, an Argentine pianist recognized for his deeply expressive and technically virtuosic interpretations of Romantic and early 20th-century classical repertoire, will perform at Bulgaria Hall in Sofia on December 30, 2026. Lomónaco’s performances are frequently noted for their emotional intensity and nuanced phrasing, often focusing on composers such as Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and Liszt. He is a prizewinner of several international competitions and regularly tours throughout Europe and the Americas.

Bulgaria Hall, originally known as the “Palace of Labour,” holds significant cultural importance in Sofia. Constructed between 1957 and 1966 during the socialist era, it served as a primary venue for political rallies and congresses of the Bulgarian Communist Party. Following the democratic changes in 1989, it was repurposed as a multi-functional space hosting concerts, theatrical performances, conferences and other events. The hall underwent extensive renovations in the early 2000s to improve its acoustics and modernize its facilities. Its main concert hall boasts a capacity of approximately 950 seats and remains one of Bulgaria's most prominent performance venues due to its historical significance and central location.
