Symphy Hall opened in 1991 and is recognised as one of Europe’s leading concert halls. Designed by the architectural firm Renton, Eggert & Boyle, it was specifically engineered to provide exceptional acoustics. The hall’s design incorporates a ‘shoe-box’ shape, favoured for its sound quality, and features adjustable acoustic banners and reflectors to tailor the reverberation for different types of performance.

The venue hosts over 300 performances annually, spanning orchestral concerts (including regular performances by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra), chamber music, jazz, rock, pop, and other genres. It has received numerous awards recognising its acoustic excellence and has been consistently ranked among the world's best concert halls. The hall also operates as a significant educational resource within the Birmingham community.
