Jason Moran will perform at Wigmore Hall, London on September 30, 2026. Moran is a highly acclaimed American jazz pianist, composer, and educator known for a deeply personal and intellectually stimulating approach to the genre. His music frequently blends improvisation with elements of modern classical music, hip-hop, and visual art, often incorporating themes of history, race, and identity. He’s recognized for his innovative trio work and solo piano performances which explore harmonic complexity and rhythmic nuance. Moran served as the Artistic Advisor for Jazz at the Kennedy Center for several years and is currently Director of Jazz Studies at New School College of Performing Arts.
