Experience Guedra Guedra live on September 3rd
Guedra Guedra, the project of Moroccan artist Mehdi Nassouli, will perform at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London on September 3rd, 2026. Nassouli’s music blends traditional Gnawa sounds – a form of Moroccan religious music and healing ritual – with contemporary electronic production techniques, including elements of house, techno and dub. His work often incorporates field recordings and explores themes of spirituality, identity and cultural heritage. Guedra Guedra’s performances are known for their immersive quality and hypnotic rhythms.
The ICA, located in The Mall, London, was founded in 1946 by Roland Penrose, Herbert Read and Peter Watson as a space for experimentation across art forms. Originally conceived after World War II to foster international artistic exchange, it quickly became a hub for avant-garde film, visual arts, music and literature. Throughout its history, the ICA has championed emerging artists and challenged conventional artistic boundaries. It operates as an independent charity and continues to present a diverse programme of exhibitions, performances, talks and screenings; consistently aiming to support innovative creative practice. The building itself has undergone several renovations but retains its core function as a multidisciplinary arts centre.
