The Gringolts Quartet is scheduled to perform at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria on August 6, 2026. The quartet, formed in 2017, is known for its intensely focused and vibrant interpretations of chamber music, frequently drawing comparisons to the Borodin Quartet. The Mozarteum, officially the Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg, is a multifaceted institution deeply rooted in the city’s musical heritage. Founded in 1841 by Mozart’s widow Constanze and her son August Andreas, its initial purpose was to preserve Mozart’s legacy and provide musical education. Today, it encompasses a university (the Mozarteum University Salzburg), a museum (Mozart’s Geburtshaus and Wohnhaus), and a concert hall – the venue for the upcoming Gringolts Quartet performance.
