Experience GORDA live on July 17th
GORDA, the stage name of Ehsan Ghasemzadeh, is a Berlin-based Iranian DJ and producer known for his energetic and driving take on house and techno music. His sound frequently incorporates elements of melodic techno, progressive house, and often features vocal samples, creating a distinctive atmospheric quality alongside powerful basslines. He has released music on labels including Diynamic and Rosegarden.
The concert is scheduled to take place at the Hamburg Observatory (Hamburger Sternwarte) on July 17th, 2026. Established in 1825, the observatory holds historical significance as one of Germany’s oldest astronomical research institutions. Originally founded for navigational purposes related to Hamburg’s port, it transitioned to fundamental research in astronomy throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.
Today, while still functioning as a research facility affiliated with the University of Hamburg, the observatory also serves as a public science center and hosts cultural events. Its location on the Bergedorf hill provides a unique setting; the main building features a historic Kuppel (dome) housing telescopes alongside modern astronomical instruments. The grounds offer views across the city and surrounding landscape contributing to its appeal as an event venue.
