Experience Gergely Madaras live on October 3rd
Gergely Madaras, a Hungarian violinist recognized for his intensely expressive and technically brilliant performances, will appear in concert at the Kulturpalast Dresden on October 3, 2026. Madaras’s playing is often described as combining virtuosic flair with a deeply personal and emotive interpretation of both standard repertoire and lesser-known works. He frequently performs solo with leading orchestras internationally and is known for championing contemporary compositions alongside established classics.
The Kulturpalast Dresden holds significant cultural importance within the city. Originally opened in 1960, it served as the central venue for cultural events during the German Democratic Republic era, hosting concerts, operas, ballet performances, and congresses. Following extensive renovations completed in 2017, the building now functions as a multi-purpose venue primarily dedicated to music – specifically as the home of the Dresden Philharmonic orchestra, as well as hosting other orchestral ensembles and musical events. The architecture blends post-war modernism with elements reflecting Dresden’s baroque heritage. The main hall is renowned for its acoustics and capacity of approximately 1,700 seats. It continues to be a focal point for artistic life in Saxony.
