Il Vittoriale degli Italiani is a historic estate and museum located on the shores of Lake Garda. It was created by the Italian writer Gabriele D’Annunzio between 1921 and 1938 as his home and a monument dedicated to Italian victories in World War I. The complex includes D’Annunzio’s house, filled with art and artifacts collected throughout his life; gardens; an amphitheater; a mausoleum where D'Annunzio is buried; and various themed museums showcasing collections related to military history, nautical themes, and Italian culture.
