De Bijloke in Ghent is a historic complex originally founded in 1380 as a hospital dedicated to Saint Elizabeth. Throughout its history, it served continuously as a medical facility until 1978. In the late 20th and early 21st centuries, the buildings underwent significant restoration and repurposing. Today, De Bijloke functions as a cultural centre housing a concert hall, music school (Conservatorium), and exhibition spaces.
