Emilio Solla, an Argentine pianist and composer, will perform at the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco on April 4, 2027. Solla’s musical style is rooted in Argentine tango but significantly expands upon it, incorporating elements of jazz, classical music, and world music traditions. His compositions are known for their harmonic complexity, rhythmic innovation, and dynamic interplay between improvisation and written arrangements. He often leads ensembles featuring bandoneón, piano, double bass, and drums, creating a sound that is both deeply evocative of tango’s emotional core and strikingly contemporary.

The SFJAZZ Center, which opened in 2013, is a leading jazz performance venue and educational organization. It is dedicated to advancing the art form of jazz through presentations of internationally renowned artists and support for emerging talent. The center boasts the Robert N.
