Donald Vega is a contemporary jazz and fusion pianist known for his virtuosic technique, harmonic complexity, and improvisational skills. His musical style blends elements of post-bop, Latin jazz, and progressive rock, often featuring intricate arrangements and dynamic interplay with fellow musicians. He has released several albums as a leader and has collaborated with a diverse range of artists across the jazz spectrum.

The performance is scheduled to take place at Lackawanna Station in Montclair, New Jersey on August 15, 2026. Originally opened in 1913 by the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad, the station served as a major transportation hub connecting Montclair with New York City and other regional destinations. Designed in the Beaux-Arts style by architect Fellheimer & Wagner, it’s characterized by its grand waiting room, terracotta ornamentation, and overall architectural significance.

After decades of rail service, passenger operations ceased in 1985. The building subsequently fell into disrepair but underwent extensive renovations completed in 2021. It now functions as a multi-use arts and cultural center hosting events such as concerts, exhibitions and community gatherings while preserving its historical character.
