Roulette is an experimental performance space located in Brooklyn’s Downtown area. Originally founded in 1978 by Steve Swell and Ron Miles as a collective for avant-garde jazz and improvised music, it operated for several years before relocating to its current purpose-built facility on Lafayette Street in 2011. The venue is specifically designed to support multidisciplinary arts programming – including music, dance, theatre and visual art – with an emphasis on work that is innovative and challenging.
