Wonder Ballroom opened in 1991 and has become a prominent independent music venue in Portland’s entertainment landscape. Originally established as a roller skating rink in 1930 known as the Wonder Arena, it underwent renovations to transition into a performance space. The venue is recognized for its intimate setting and sprung dance floor – a feature appreciated by both performers and attendees – contributing to its reputation as a desirable location for diverse musical acts spanning indie rock, electronic music, and beyond.
