Django Festival Allstars presents a contemporary interpretation of the gypsy jazz tradition popularized by Django Reinhardt in the 1930s. Their music blends Reinhardt’s signature style – characterized by virtuosic guitar work, driving rhythms, and improvisational flair – with elements of swing, jazz manouche, and occasionally other influences. The ensemble typically features acoustic guitars, violin, and bass, creating a dynamic and energetic sound rooted in European folk melodies and American swing sensibilities.

The performance is scheduled to take place at the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco on November 20, 2026. The SFJAZZ Center, which opened in 2013, is a leading jazz performance venue and education center. Designed by Mark Cavagnero Associates, it boasts three distinct performance spaces: the Robert N. Miner Auditorium (800 seats), the Joe Henderson Lab (100 seats), and the Rehearsal Hall.

SFJAZZ itself was founded in 1972 as a presenter of jazz concerts; the Center represents a significant expansion of its mission to support jazz artists and audiences.
