DeVotchKa will perform at De Casino Concertzaal in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium on October 14, 2026. The band is known for their unique musical style often described as “immigrant lounge,” blending elements of Eastern European folk, mariachi, tango, and indie rock. Their instrumentation frequently features the theremin, accordion, trumpet, and upright bass, contributing to a cinematic and emotionally resonant sound. Formed in Denver, Colorado in the late 1990s, DeVotchKa gained wider recognition following their music’s inclusion in the soundtrack for the 2006 film *Little Miss Sunshine*.

De Casino Concertzaal is a prominent venue located within a restored Art Nouveau casino building dating back to 1905. Originally a social and gambling establishment, the building was renovated into a cultural center in the 1980s. The concert hall itself is recognized for its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics. It hosts a diverse range of performances including classical music, jazz, world music and contemporary acts. The venue maintains much of its original architectural detailing contributing to its distinctive character.
