Remise Bludenz is a cultural venue housed within a former railway repair workshop (“Remise” translates to depot or workshop). Originally built in the late 19th century as part of the Austrian Federal Railways infrastructure, it underwent extensive renovation in the early 2000s to transform it into a multi-purpose event space. Today, Remise serves as a significant regional center for concerts – encompassing genres from jazz and world music to classical – as well as theatre productions, exhibitions, and conferences. The building retains much of its industrial architecture, offering a unique atmosphere for events. It’s known for its excellent acoustics and intimate setting despite its considerable size.
