Lechwelten is a unique venue established by the artist collective Numen/For Use within the alpine landscape near Lech am Arlberg. It consists of seven concrete pavilions – referred to as ‘stones’ – strategically positioned along a hiking trail. Designed by architects Numen/For Use, the structures are not intended as traditional buildings but rather as interventions that encourage contemplation of the surrounding natural environment. The project debuted in 2018 and aims to blend art and architecture with the Austrian mountain scenery, offering a distinctive setting for cultural experiences. The pavilions are accessible via footpaths and offer minimal infrastructure, prioritizing integration with the landscape over conventional comfort.
