DARKSIDE is a musical project centered around the collaboration of Nicholas Jaar and Dave Harrington. Their sound is often described as experimental electronic music, blending elements of jazz, post-punk, and ambient textures with a focus on improvisation and atmospheric soundscapes. Recurring themes in their work include a deliberate use of space, complex rhythmic structures, and Jaar’s distinctive vocal delivery. The duo initially disbanded in 2017 after extensive touring following their album *Spiral*, but reformed in 2022 and released *Cavern of Echoes* in 2023.
Music Hall of Williamsburg, located in Brooklyn, New York City, opened in 2009. It’s a mid-sized venue known for hosting a diverse range of independent and established artists across genres like indie rock, electronic music, hip-hop, and more. The hall has a capacity of approximately 550 standing or 800 seated, fostering an intimate concert experience compared to larger arenas. It's recognized for its high-quality sound system and relatively unobstructed sightlines. The building itself previously functioned as a warehouse before being converted into the performance space it is today, contributing to its industrial aesthetic.
