DARKSIDE is a collaborative musical project primarily involving Nicholas Jaar and Dave Harrington. Their sound is often described as a blend of electronic, jazz, and experimental rock, characterized by atmospheric textures, complex rhythms, and Jaar’s distinctive vocal delivery. The group initially disbanded in 2017 after extensive touring following their album *Spiral*, but reformed in 2022 and released a new album, *Cavern of Echoes*, in 2023. Their performances are known for incorporating improvisation and visual elements alongside meticulously crafted compositions.
Music Hall of Williamsburg opened in 2007 and has become a prominent independent music venue in Brooklyn, New York. Situated in the Williamsburg neighborhood, it's recognized for hosting both established and emerging artists across various genres including indie rock, electronic music, and hip-hop. The venue is noted for its relatively intimate capacity – approximately 550 standing – which fosters a close connection between performers and audiences. Its rectangular layout provides generally good sightlines throughout the space. Owned by Bowery Presents, it consistently ranks among the top live music venues in New York City due to its sound quality and curated programming.
