Experience Daniele Rustioni live on November 29th
Daniele Rustioni, an Italian composer and conductor noted for his emotionally resonant and often dramatic orchestral writing, will present a concert at Sumida Triphony Hall in Tokyo, Japan on November 29, 2026. Rustioni’s compositional style frequently incorporates elements of neo-romanticism with a contemporary harmonic language, often exploring themes of memory and narrative. He is also recognized for his work in film scoring, having contributed to numerous international productions.
Sumida Triphony Hall, opened in 1997, is a prominent concert venue in Tokyo designed by architect Takahiko Yamazaki. It is specifically renowned for its exceptional acoustics, achieved through a unique “vineyard” style seating arrangement where the audience surrounds the orchestra on multiple tiers. This design minimizes sound reflections and provides an intimate listening experience. The hall was built as part of the redevelopment of the Sumida River area following damage from the 1923 Great Kantō earthquake and aims to be a cultural hub for the local community and international performers alike. It regularly hosts leading orchestras and soloists from around the world and is equipped with a large pipe organ – one of the largest in Japan.
