29th Street Ballroom is a mid-sized venue located in East Austin. Originally built in 1917 as a dance hall and community gathering space for German and Czech immigrants, it underwent periods as a furniture store and warehouse before being renovated and reopened as a music venue in 2018. The space retains much of its original architectural character, including high ceilings and hardwood floors. It regularly hosts a diverse range of musical acts spanning genres like indie rock, electronic music, country, and soul; functioning also as an event space for weddings & private functions.
