Charged Particles is scheduled to perform at the Palo Alto Elks Lodge on August 29, 2026. The band characterizes their music as “future funk,” blending elements of livetronica, electronica, and jam band improvisation with a focus on strong grooves and melodic composition. They frequently incorporate saxophone and guitar alongside electronic production techniques, resulting in a sound often described as danceable and energetic. Formed in 2015, Charged Particles has built a following through extensive touring and independently released albums.

The Palo Alto Elks Lodge #2238 has been a fixture in the community since its chartering in 1914. Originally serving as a social and charitable organization for members of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Lodge building on Embarcadero Road has evolved to include event rentals and community space availability. The Lodge features a large hall often used for dances, meetings, and performances. Its architecture reflects the Craftsman style prevalent during its construction period. While maintaining its core mission of philanthropy and community service, the Lodge regularly hosts public events alongside member activities.
