Cassie Kinoshi is a British composer, arranger, and alto saxophonist whose work blends elements of jazz, contemporary classical music, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms. Her compositions often feature complex harmonies, intricate arrangements for large ensembles, and explore themes of identity and cultural heritage. Kinoshi is notably the founder of the SEED Ensemble, a Mercury Prize-nominated jazz collective known for its vibrant and politically charged performances. She has received commissions from prominent institutions including the BBC Proms and Jazz North.

The concert will take place at Queen Elizabeth Hall, a key venue within the Southbank Centre in London. Opened in 1967 as part of the broader Southbank Centre redevelopment, it is recognised for its acoustic quality and modernist architectural design by Leslie Martin and Peter Moro.
